Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the jet's front window, as stated by an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft touched down following standard protocol and all passengers, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels at the time.
This occurrence isn't the first time that a American defense plane transporting a top government figure has suffered equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to head back to Washington after encountering a mechanical problem.
