Chiefs Confirm Domestic Violence Allegations Connected to Player Rashee Rice

The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment on Wednesday evening indicating they have knowledge of claims of abuse circulated in online accounts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver the athlete and had been in contact with the NFL.

The team did not mention the player by name in their announcement and noted they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete directly, shared a set of images on social media that seemed to depict signs of physical abuse. Jones did say the person involved was the father of her children, and reports indicate she has kids with the football player, whom the Chiefs selected in the 2023 draft.

No official complaints were on file in the Kansas City suburb where the alleged abuse is said to have occurred.

Rice was given a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to felony charges.
