Dudes – Are Adolescent Daughters Really Encourage Their Fathers to Have Prolific Sex?
A in his forties dominant man, a sad sack, a playboy and an intellectual walk into a comedy series from Germany. Eight episodes of this production ensue. I do not speak German and can only hope it plays better in the original. Truthfully, the original-original is a Spanish comedy titled Machos Alfa. Currently it's into its third season, which suggests it boasted a charm which has been poorly adapted.
The Leader
The assertive lead comes as Ulf (the actor Tom Beck). He appears as imposing, brooding, good-looking, high-earning, in a relationship with a rising influencer, and he and his perfectly groomed beard are close to promotion to CEO of the magazine publishing company he's been employed by for twenty years. However, surprise! He is refused his dues by the advent of a new character (acted by Jaëla Probst), a compelling businesswoman recruited externally by the owner to revitalize operations. It's unprecedented seen this setup in the past. I hope it doesn’t cause him leaving in a childish rage and threaten his whole way of life, career chances and marriage. Well.
The Gloomy Figure
The melancholic persona is Andi (actor Moritz Führmann), he's stressed at work, thinning on top and always too tired for sex – a novel trio of traits without a doubt – even with his spouse Silke's (Franziska Machens) desire to engage relations with his pressured, thinning-haired being. The hilarity.
Womanizer Erik
Playboy Erik (David Rott's character) in contrast faces practically a conflicting dilemma. He is willing to relinquish his paramour and commit to his long-term fiancee Kim (Marleen Lohse's role), the lucky girl. Yet she intends to open up their relationship! This discovery transpires at a dining encounter during which he – well, the amusing novelty appears throughout! – concealed the proposal band within her beloved sweet, but ends up needing to ingest it. Afterwards, he must pass it naturally. Effort to suppress your uproarious mirth. You may have had some practice already. Should that not be the case, there is a scene coming up in which Andi applies an intimate device with Silke and the kids burst in, that ought to generously supply fun.
The Thinker Cem
Intellectual Cem (Serkan Kaya) has ended his marriage and his teenage girl has proclaimed that she's relocating to his place. She places his dating information on dating apps and starts overseeing his love life to a degree which I deem deserving of the attention of social services, however, I'm not a writer of a depressing show claiming to explore life for middle-aged men in a glorious feminist age, so what do I know?? It's possible that many young women in the world telling their fathers they need to “fuck at least 10 women properly otherwise you’ll never move on”, but if so it ought not to happen. Stop it. Put some boundaries into effect, remain within your parent/child lanes and bring back normality to its proper order.
Predictable Encounters
Anyway. It's unsurprising the identity of his initial romantic encounter – only Ulf’s nemesis Vanessa! And naturally whether he panics and reveals to her he’s a widower instead of having ended a marriage or not!
Recurring Situations
The series continues, viewing boring, idiotic characters perform monotonous, ridiculous acts and marking down set-pieces throughout. Silke becoming intoxicated at a dinner party alongside the group and complaining regarding Andi's diminished interest. A shrink drawing absently while Cem pours out his troubles. Nobody cares regarding males nowadays, apparently. Ulf hitting up his contacts regarding employment and getting nowhere (“Too old? Seriously?”, “Too manly? For real?” These phrases a scriptwriter has crafted). He returns to the office to ask for his job back but ends up embarrassing himself again. The sports group they are all members of keeps losing. Well, a symbolic representation. A visit from Erik's mother and father impeding Kim's desire to attend an adult event during that night. Until his mother and father must go ahead of time to attend a performance. So Erik and Kim join the adult event. One can easily surmise whom they encounter. Andi and Silke receive a request to their youngsters' educational institution as the young ones have taken the intimate device in for – frankly, I planned to state amusement, though it might be inappropriate.
Final Evaluation
It's uninteresting, it's vulgar, it avoids all impact it might deliver, it lacks depth, no nuance, no elegance, no wit – it includes elements that sound like jokes, are formatted like jokes and presented amusingly, however, they fail to amuse – and it makes you feel sorry for actors. And perhaps the German people. I'm uncertain if this is {the quality
